Little Talks, by Of Monster And Men

Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic band formed in 2010, with a style that mixes indie pop, rock and folk.

After winning the music band competition Músíktilraunir in their home country, Rolling Stone magazine branded them as the "new Arcade Fire." But the style of this Little Talks may be closer to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros or some songs from The Lumineers.

The music video for this song is also really interesting: in a black-and-white fantasy world (recurrent in the band's music videos), the five guys in the band travel on a flying ship when they meet a really colorful creature (the girl) that is lost. They rescue her (or she rescues them to be more precise) and help her get to her destination.

Even when it is a relatively new band, Of Monsters and Men has evolved and change quite a bit in their lineup: from being a solo act, to a quartet, to a band of six members, to currently being only 5 members after one of them left the group to continue with his college studies. At the moment of writing this article, the band members are Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Ragnar Ţórhallsson, Brynjar Leifsson, Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson and Kristján Páll Kristjánsson.

Little Talks is included in the (by now) only LP of the band: My Head is an Animal (2012), where you will be able to find some gems like King and Lionheart or Mountain Sound.
